The march route is flat and paved throughout. Paid food and water fill stations are available at the park. Lakeside Park is level, but you must cross a grassy area to reach the Rotary (BBQ) Shelter. The shelter floor itself is smooth pavement, and there is no sidewalk leading directly to it.

Join us for Nelson Pride’s first Trans March! Trans, non-binary, Two-Spirit and gender-diverse folks, and allies, are all welcome to march on a flat, paved, accessible route through Lakeside Park. Bring your flags, your friends, and your beautiful selves.

Gather at the Lakeside Park soccer fields at 2 pm. The march steps off at 2:30 sharp.

Drag in the Park

Stick around after the march for free drag in the park! Join us at the Rotary Shelter for performances by Max Poetic, Kaihen Harwood, Mx Fox, and Guido La Bido.

Speeches follow the march at 3:00, with performances starting at 3:15 and running until 4:15. Come for the whole afternoon or drop in for a while. All ages welcome; children under 14 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

Smoke note: Wildfire smoke is common in the summer. Please check the air quality (weather.gc.ca/airquality) and consider wearing a mask. Masks are welcome at all of our events for any reason.

We encourage you to consider alternative means of transit, including buses, carpooling, walking, or biking, if possible. Please try to leave parking close to the event open for those with accessibility needs, and please use this parking if you need.
