- Accessibility
- Lakeside Park is level, but you must cross a grassy area to reach the BBQ shelter, and that grass may not be completely flat. The shelter floor itself is smooth pavement, and there is no sidewalk leading directly to it.
Join us to tie dye a shirt for the parade! Tie dye runs on a sliding scale donation, with all proceeds going to Nelson Pride Society so we can keep hosting Pride events in Nelson and area.
Sign up in advance to guarantee your spot and your size. Only a limited number of extra shirts will be available week-of, and possibly day-of. Sign up and see the full donation details.
Everyone 14 and up is also welcome to come just to make parade signs, which is free.
If cost is a barrier, or if you would prefer to dye your own materials for accessibility reasons, contact justin@nelsonpride.ca at any time. If you’re bringing your own materials, please give us a heads up and a small donation so we can make sure there’s enough dye and enough shirts for everyone to have a good time.
We encourage you to consider alternative means of transit, including buses, carpooling, walking, or biking, if possible. Please try to leave parking close to the event open for those with accessibility needs, and please use this parking if you need.
