This event has been postponed. It is not going ahead on Sunday, August 23. We don’t have a new date yet, but we’ll post it here and on our social media as soon as we do. The rest of the Nelson Pride 2026 schedule is going ahead as planned.
When it is rescheduled, here’s what to expect: we’re painting the crosswalk at Stanley and Victoria, and you’re invited to add your stripe of the rainbow.
Paint and supplies are generously donated by Nelson Home Hardware. Bring yourself and clothes you don’t mind getting colourful. We’ll also have a DJ set from Christopher Wayne and some snacks.
We encourage you to consider alternative means of transit, including buses, carpooling, walking, or biking, if possible. Please try to leave parking close to the event open for those with accessibility needs, and please use this parking if you need.
